Foxborough – Margaret “Peg” (Stahl) Emus, age 90, died Sunday, November 15 at the Epoch Senior Healthcare Center in Norton. She was the wife of the late Melvin C. Emus and daughter of the late Herbert L. and Isadore (Jackson) Stahl. Peg was born in Waldoboro, ME on August 3, 1919 and was a graduate of Waldoboro High School. Peg and her husband Melvin were married on April 15, 1939 in Waldoboro, ME. She has been a Foxborough resident since 1952. Peg was a long time active member and Deaconess at Bethany Congregational Church in Foxborough. At Bethany, she was a member of the Evening Division and the knitting club. She frequently volunteered at the annual Christmas Fair and donated many hand knit sweaters for the silent auction. She was famous in town for her baking abilities which she also donated to the Bethany Church Fair. She also was a long time volunteer at the voting polls in Foxborough. An avid square dancer, she and her husband were members of the Do-Si-Doers in Walpole for many years. She was a volunteer at Caritas Norwood Hospital for several years. Loving mother of Steven C. Emus and his wife Liz of Londonderry, NH, David H. Emus and his wife Joanne of Hollis, NH and Alan J. Emus and his wife Diane of Mansfield. Devoted grandmother of Scott Emus, Jill VanEpps, Jessica Schatz, Jason Emus, Michael Emus and Rachel Emus. Cherished great grandmother of Jocelyn, Jackson, Dana and Naomi. Devoted sister of Bessie Reed of Santa Barbara, CA and sister in law of Rita Stahl of Westbrook, ME. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral InformationRelatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, November 18 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, November 19 at Bethany Congregational Church, 3 Rockhill Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxborough.
