James Manuel Mamacos, age 87, of Foxboro, formerly of Stoughton died at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, April 20. He was the son of the late Manuel and Irene (Sculos) Mamacos. James proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a graduate of Boston University, Class of 1942 and married his wife, Mersina (Aivaliotis) at the Greek Orthodox Church of Boston. James was a self employed CPA for many years. James was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the BU Alumni Association and the American Legion of Dedham. James loved to travel, was an avid Red Sox fan and loved his wife’s cooking. Beloved husband of Mersina (Aivaliotis) Mamacos of Foxboro. Loving father of Charles Mamacos of Dover, Elaine Bidianos of Wellesley and Irene and her husband Richard McQuiggan of Mansfield. Grandfather of seven. Brother of Mary Kouracles of Medford. Funeral InformationFamily and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro on Tuesday, April 24 from 4 to 8 pm. A funeral will be held Wednesday, April 25 at 11 am at St. Gregory the Theologian, 1007 West Street, Mansfield. Interment to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations Information
