Hugh J. Boles

Foxborough – Hugh James Boles, age 79, died Friday, July 10 at Caritas Carney Hospital, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late John J. and Helen (Bean) Boles.

Hugh was born on July 27, 1929 in Boston and attended Dorchester Public Schools. He proudly served his country in the Korean War in the US Air Force. He was an electrician and a member of the 103 IBEW. Hugh married his wife Ruth (Milliken) on October 31, 1953 at St. Peter’s Church in Dorchester.

Hugh was a devoted family man and enjoyed traveling with his wife. He was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus 234 Dedham.

Devoted husband of Ruth (Milliken) Boles of Foxborough. Loving father of Deborah A. and her husband Michael Ryan of Wrentham, Robert R. and his wife Mary Boles of Bellingham, and Kathleen M. and her husband William Mackey of Norton. Beloved grandfather of Jennifer and Kevin Ryan, Kevin, Bridget and Kate Boles and Matthew Mackey. Brother of Dorothy “Dolly” Shea of Quincy, Helen Young of Wareham, James Boles of Dedham and the late Richard and John Boles.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, July 14 from 2 to and 7 to 9 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 15 at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment with military honors to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxborough.
