Francis "Fran" Hayes Devine

December 17, 1932 - February 08, 2006

Francis Hayes Devine of Foxborough, died at Caritas Norwood Hospital on Wednesday February 8, 2006. He was the son of the late Fred and Eileen (Hayes) Devine.

He was born in Foxborough on December 17, 1932 and graduated from Mansfield High School with the class of 1951. He attended Bryant College and graduated from Bentley College. He worked at the Foxboro Company for 34 years and also played softball for the Foxboro Company until he was 51 years old. He took an early retirement when he was 53 years old. He enjoyed traveling and wintering in Florida with his wife Dolly.(Champagne). They were married at St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield on August 26, 1961.

Beside his wife Dolly he is survived by his daughter Linda(Devine)Bennion and her husband Ray from Whitefield, NH. He is the grandfather of Kelsey Hayes Bennion also of Whitefield, NH. Brother of Jane Beaupre and her husband Dick of North Attleboro and Bernie Devine and his wife Barbara of West Mansfield. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins and his uncle Ed Devine of Foxborough. He is brother of the late Bud Devine who was killed in action in the Pacific in WWII, and Barbara Hickey.

Funeral Information

A Funeral Mass to celebrate his life will be held on Monday February 13, at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Pratt Street in Mansfield. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.
