Phyllis Mary (Pike) Thorne, age 72, died on Monday, October 8, 2007 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the daughter of the late Campbell and Mary (Flynn) Pike.

Phyllis was born in Boston on April 22, 1935 and was a native of East Boston. She married her husband William on October 4, 1959 at the St. Mary’s By the Sea in Orient Heights in East Boston.

Phyllis was a loving and devoted wife and mother. An avid baker, Phyllis enjoyed decorating cakes and made several wedding cakes for her family and friends. She also enjoyed ceramics and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan.

Beloved wife of William Thorne. Loving mother of William Thorne Jr. of Seattle, Washington and Karen Thorne of Rehoboth. Sister of Frances Roy of East Boston. Loving cousin of the Kavanaugh Family and aunt of Francine, Donna, Carol, Kevin, Bobby, Stephen and Jimmy.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, October 12, from 5-8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter St., Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxboro.
