Christine Ann Cole Norton – Christine Ann (Sullivan) Cole, died Friday, March 20, 2009 at the Clark House in Westwood, surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late William Sullivan and Florence (Tarasewitz) Kelley and the stepdaughter Walter B. Kelley of Hingham. Christine was born on July 27, 1951 in Malden, MA. She was a graduate of Dedham High School, Class of 1969. She attended Bunker Hill Community College and UMASS Amherst. She and her husband Theodore were married on November 8, 1975 at St. Mary’s Church in Dedham. Christine was first employed as an opthalmic medical technologist at Dedham Medical, and then at UMASS Memorial and most recently at Masci & Dehm Eye Associates. She also worked at Personal Best Karate in Norton. She was an assistant karate teacher at Personal Best Karate and just recently earned her 2nd degree black belt. She enjoyed watching her granddaughter compete in karate. She enjoyed making hand made gifts, salt water fish, was a former member and chairperson of the Norton Arts Council, Norton Middle School Building Committee and served for three terms on the Norton School Committee. She was the Chairperson of the 275th Town Anniversary committee, served on the PBK Turkey Brigade for twelve years and truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Christine was a former professional ballerina and dancer. She was the ballet mistress at Adrienne Parker School of dance and taught ballet at Young World. Beloved wife of Theodore M. Cole. Devoted mother of Melissa A. Haskell, Elise M. Cole, Gregory M. Cole all of Norton and the late Allison M. Cole. Beloved grandmother of Bryanna N. Haskell and Cole L. Haskell, both of Norton. Dear friend of Joyce Smith of Foxboro and Patrick Roscia of Canton. Sister of the late William Sullivan and his wife Bernadette Sullivan of Dedham, Lawrence Sullivan of Norwood, the late Kenneth Sullivan, Lynn McDonald of Bridgewater and Paul and his wife Janice of Hull. Christine’s family would like to thank all of her close friends who visited her often and helped them this past year. In particular, Joyce Smith and Patrick Roscia, who provided Christine with courage and strength to continue her battle and also provide her with everlasting care and love. Funeral InformationRelatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 26 from 6 to 9 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Friday, March 27, at St. Mary’s Church, S. Worcester Street, Norton, MA. Interment to follow at Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton, MA.
