Agnar O. Farestveit

Foxborough – Agnar O. Farestveit, age 74 died Tuesday, April 20, 2010, at Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was the son of the late Otto and Ingjerd (Kyte) Farestveit.

Agnar was born on November 4, 1935 in Bergen, Norway. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and Business Administration from Michigan Technicological University in Houghton, MI. He served as an officer in the Norwegian Airforce. Agnar and his wife Karen were married on December 29, 1961 at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Flint, MI.

Agnar was an electrical engineer at EMC Corporation and retired December 31, 2008 from Bell Electronics in Westborough.

Beloved husband of Karen L. (Moore) Farestveit. Loving father of Sonya M. and her husband Eric Myerson of Walpole and Kirsten and her husband James Torkelson of Foxborough. Devoted grandfather of Rebecca Myerson of Shelborne Falls, Elizabeth Myerson of Walpole and Katharine Torkelson of Foxborough. Brother of Ingjerd Kyte of Voss, Norway, Målfrid Olson of Bergen, Norway and Anders Farestveit of Oslo, Norway.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, April 26 from 4 to 7 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 27 at 11 am at Bethany Congregational Church, 3 Rock Hill Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxborough.
