Catherine O'Connor

Foxborough-Catherine (McDonald) O’Connor, age 84, died on Monday, October 27, 2008 at her home surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late William and Johanna (Dalton) McDonald.

Catherine was born in Boston on October 6, 1924. She married her husband John J. O’Connor in Boston. Before moving to Foxborough she spent her summers in Sandwich and wintered in Englwood, Florida.

Catherine worked for several years for the Randy Sneaker Company in Randolph and waitressed part time in Sandwich. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting blankets for her family and was an avid reader. Her favorite pass time was spending time with her family.

Wife of the late John J. O’Connor. Beloved mother of Maureen and her husband Leon Bowen of Foxborough and the late John J. O’Connor. Loving sister of Dorothy Sullivan of Randolph, Sister Ann William of New Jersey, Agatha O’Callaghan of Randolph, Beatrice McNeily of Randolph, Frances Davis of Natick and the late James, Stanley, Joseph, John and Walter McDonald. Also survived by five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial Mass on Monday, November 3, at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter St., Foxborough.
