Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother FOXBORO - Joanne M. Bruno, age 59, died Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. Joanne was the daughter of the late James R. Farrell, Sr. and Eleanor F. (Clark) Farrell.
Joanne was born on December 30, 1949 in Milford. She was a native of Norfolk and later resided in Franklin. She was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1967. Joanne married her husband William E. Bruno on July 22, 1967 at St. Mary’s Church in Franklin. Joanne was previously employed at Foxboro Photo, Friendly’s and Stop & Shop.
Joanne loved to travel. She enjoyed flower gardening and photography and submitted photos to the Foxboro Reporter and Mansfield Buzz. She enjoyed humming birds and her cat Teddy. She was a New England Patriots fan. Joanne was a loving and devoted grandmother.
Beloved wife of William E. Bruno. Loving mother of William Bruno, Jr. of Foxboro, Kimberley and her husband Bobby Hearn of Taunton, Michael and Keith Bruno both of Mansfield. Devoted grandmother of Colby Bruno, Derek, Amber and Jenna Hearn. Sister of Betty Signorello, Mary Dupre, Judy Ross, Roberta Poirier, Margaret Shaw, Eleanor Ciccone, Therese Baccaire, Celine Violette, James R. Farrell Jr., Joseph J. Farrell and the late Christine Dupre.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, January 9, from 4 to 8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 10, at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton.
