Jeannette Marie Thrasher

June 06, 192 - October 19, 2008

Foxboro-Jeannette Marie Thrasher, age 85, died on Sunday, October 19, 2008 at the Charlwell House in Norwood. She was the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Sequin) Turcotte.

Jeannette was born on June 6, 1923 in Montreal, Canada. She and her husband Leslie where married in Montreal, Canada on August 10, 1946. She has been a resident of Foxborough for the past 62 years.

Jeannette worked for many years as a nurse’s aide for the Van Dora Nursing Home and Foxborough Health Center. She was active with in the Eldergram program in Foxboro and was a past member of the Foxborough American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.

Jeannette most enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow and attending their baseball games and dance recitals. She taught her self-how to knit and crochet and enjoyed making afghans for each of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going on the Foxborough senior citizen trips with her friends.

Wife of the late Leslie L. Thrasher. Beloved mother of Joanne M. and her husband James Hazeldine,
Suzanne E. and her husband Martin Heffernan and Barry J. Thrasher all of Foxborough. Sister of the late John Turcotte. Devoted grandmother of James Hazeldine and his wife Jackie of Walpole, Lesley Hazeldine of Mansfield, Heather Heffernan of CA, Martin Heffernan of FL, Bryan Heffernan of TX, Jessica Thrasher of Cambridge and Katie and her husband Duane Bryant of North Attleboro. Great grandmother of James and Jack Hazeldine and Duane and Christopher Bryant.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, October 22, from 4-8 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9 AM at St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxborough.
