Beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather Plainville – Harry W. Green, age 72 died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood. He was the son of the late Harry F. and Ruth (O’Brien) Green.
Harry was born on May 31, 1939 in Boston. He was a graduate of Boston English High School, Class of 1956 and attended Northeastern University. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force where he was stationed in Greenland for two years. He married his wife Diana (Allen) on May 27, 1983 in North Attleboro. He has been a Plainville resident for the past twenty years.
Harry was a retired field engineer for Burroughs-Unisys in Waltham. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Plainville and was a Communicant of St. Martha’s Parish in Plainville. An avid golfer, Harry enjoyed playing at the Heather Hill Country Club in Plainville. He loved to travel to Florida and visit family in Hawaii and Maine. He also enjoyed woodworking, reading, playing on the computer, visits to Revere Beach and was an avid New England Sports fan.
Beloved husband of Diana C. Green. Loving father of Shannon R. Green of Plymouth and the late Andrea C. Green. Stepfather of Christina Loftis of Wayland and Kenneth J. Moreau of MD. Devoted grandfather of Ryan J. Moreau and Allie Loftis. Brother of Richard and his wife Valerie Green of Foxborough and the late Phyllis May. Also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, February 10 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday at St. Martha’s Church, 227 South Street, Plainville, MA. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
