Accounts Payable Clerk for the Town of Foxborough Dorothy Elizabeth (Lipps) Inman, age 79, of Foxboro died Friday, May 25 surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Lillian H. (Runge) Lipps.
Dorothy was born on July 27, 1927 in Boston and grew up Dedham and Hyde Park. She was a long time Foxboro resident. She worked at the circulation desk at Boyden Library and was an accounts payable clerk for the Town of Foxboro for thirty years. She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert L. Inman.
Dorothy was an active volunteer at the Foxboro Senior Center and participated in Live Y’ers at the Hockomock YMCA. She was an avid traveler and enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod. She particularly enjoyed shopping trips to the Christmas Tree Shop and cooking for her family. Dorothy loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
Loving mother of Nancy Penney, Linda Wiegand and Debra Flanagan, all of Attleboro. Beloved grandmother of Melissa, Kimberley and Ashley Penney and Emily, Stacy and Chad Wiegand. Adoring great grandmother of Cody Johnson.
Funeral Information
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 29 from 5 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, May 30 at the Union Church of South Foxboro, 384 South Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery.
