Mildred Smith

Beloved Mother and Granmother Mildred Catherine (Noonan) Smith, age 88, died Sunday, January 18, 2009 the Golden Living Center – Garden Place surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. Mildred was the daughter of the late Leonard and Delia (Connoly) Noonan.
Mildred was born in Boston on October 16, 1920. She attended Forest Hills Schools and was a graduate of Roslindale High School, Class of 1938. She married her husband Oliver C. Smith at St. Andrews Church in Forest Hills. She lived in Dedham for thirty three years and lived in S. Attleboro since 1984.
Mildred was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bingo. She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods with friends and family and participated in the Attleboro Seniors Program.
Beloved wife of the late Oliver C. Smith. Loving mother of Ronald O. and his wife Donna Smith of Foxboro, Richard C. and his wife Anne of TX, Patricia “Cookie” Merlini of Attleboro and Gail and her husband Paul Greto of Attleboro. Devoted grandmother of ten and great grandmother of eight. Sister of the late William and Robert Noonan.
Funeral Information
Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, January 21 from 4 to 7 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 22 at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree, MA.
