Robert Ames Girardin

February 18, 1908 - January 29, 2008

Robert Ames Girardin, age 99, long time Foxboro resident, died on January 29, 2008 at Willow Crossing in Mansfield. He was the son of the late Victor and Anna (Ames) Girardin.

Robert was born in Peterborough, NH on February 18, 1908 and was a graduate of Peterborough High School, Class of 1922. He was a graduate Boston University, BED in 1948 and MED in 1951. He also was a graduate of Keene State in 1954. Mr. Girardin proudly served his country in the US Navy in WWII.

After the War, he began working as a teacher in the Foxboro Public School System in 1941, retiring in 1977. He served on the Southeastern Regional School Committee from 1966 until the time of his death.

Beloved husband of the late Andrea (Bouchard). Father of Anne Carolyn Flood and her husband Dan of Canton. Also survived by four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Saturday, Jan. 2, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11 AM at St. Mary's Church, Carpenter, Street, Foxboro. Interment will be private. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
