Mabelle Tucker
March 09, 1919 - April 29, 2006
Mabelle (Booth) Tucker, age 87, died on Saturday, April 29 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred E. and Mary (Graves) Booth. Mabelle was born in New York City on March 9, 1919.
She was a long time Foxboro resident where she graduated from Foxboro High School, Class of 1935. She was also a graduate of Mass State College in Amherst, Class of 1939 and graduated with honors from Columbia University of New York in 1940. She and her late husband Donald were married at her home on Bentwood Street in Foxboro in 1941.
Mabelle worked for many years as a financial analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and later at Loomis Sayles from where she retired.
Mabelle loved classical music and was a member of the Lexington Choral Society and the Follen Church Choir. She was an avid gardener, bird watcher and passionate environmentalist. She was a member of the League of Women Voters and treasurer of the Six Moon Hill Corporation of Lexington. Former girl scout leader in Lexington.
Loving mother of Nancy Whit of Providence, RI. Beloved sister of Mary Louise Perkins of Lexington. Devoted aunt of Lee A. Perkins of Waltham.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a calling hour and memorial service on Saturday, May 6 beginning at 11 am at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A memorial service will be held at noon at the funeral home followed by an interment service at Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxboro.
