Clayton Harlan MacLain, age 81, died at his home in Foxboro on Sunday, June 24, 2007. He was husband of the late Helen (Makrush) MacLain and son of the late Volney Shaw and Viola MacLain. Clayton was born in Presque Isle, Maine on May 7, 1926 and has been a Foxboro resident for over 50 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He came to Foxboro in 1951 and went to work as a trainer at the Foxboro Raceway. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Foxboro for over 30 years. Over the years he battled many snowstorms while operating the old town grader. During the Blizzard of 78 he spent three days strait keeping the roads of Foxboro open. Clayton loved the out doors and enjoyed camping and landscaping. Clayton was survived by his one son Stanley Makrush of Holly Hill, Florida and Three Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.
