Robert Lewis Webber

August 25, 1921 - November 22, 2006

Retired U.S. Postal Service Worker

Robert “Chick” Lewis Webber, age 85, long time Foxboro resident, died Wednesday, November 22 at the Elliott Hospital in Manchester, NH. He was the son of the late Lewis B. and Dolena (MacCharles) Webber.

Robert was born on August 25, 1921 in Boston and was a Foxboro High School graduate, Class of 1941. Robert proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. During the war, Robert flew in well over 20 bombing missions in battles including Northern France, Normandy, Naples and the Balkans.

Robert worked for thirty years for the United States Postal Service in Foxboro. He was also a former Call Firefighter for over 20 years for the Foxboro Fire Department. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and great grandfather.

Robert was the devoted husband of the late Marian J. (Smith) Webber. Loving father of David R. Webber and his wife Suzanne of Londonderry, NH. Beloved grand father of Kelly Gogan and her husband Craig and Michele Kelleher and her husband Brian all of Derry, NH. Great Granddaughter of Erin, James and Patrick. Brother of the late Richard P. Webber and Alice Studley.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, December 6 at 11 AM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. Interment with military honors to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:15 PM.
