Jeannette Driscoll

Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and great Grandmother Jeannette (Dumas) Driscoll, 74, of Main Street Foxboro passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on May 2, 2008. She was the beloved wife of James F. Driscoll, Jr. Whom she married on Nov 9, 1953 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Walpole, MA. They have been married for 56 years.
Born in Walpole, MA on Feb 24 1934, she was the daughter of the late James F. Dumas and is survived by her mother Dorothy (Buckman) Dumas. Jeannette was educated in the Walpole Public Schools and graduated from Pondville Nursing School in 1952. She was employed at the Foxboro Company Print Shop for 12 years before retiring in 1991.
In addition to her husband James, she is survived by six children: Janet Lilienthal and her husband Donald of North Attleboro, Deborah Braga and her husband Henry of Taunton, Karen Lilienthal and her husband Richard of North Attleboro, James F. Driscoll III and his wife Elizabeth of Blackstone, Michael Driscoll and his wife Patricia of Mansfield, and Joseph Driscoll and his wife Laurie of Foxboro. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Jeannette is survived by her sister’s Beatrice Bonneau, Dorothy Loring, Susan Edwards, her brother James Dumas Jr. and sister in-law Jean (Driscoll) Jackson. Jeannette had many loving nieces and nephews.
She was also a long time member of St. Mary’s Church of Foxboro. Spending time with her family was her utmost enjoyment.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to calling hours on Monday, May 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Stephen Madden on Tuesday, May 6 at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at Knollwood Cemetery, Sharon.
