Vernon R. York Jr.

September 10, 1946 - May 31, 2007

Vernon R. York, Jr., age 60, of Foxboro died unexpectedly Thursday, May 31 at his home. He was the son of the late Vernon, Sr. and Saddie (Cole) York.

Vern was born on September 10, 1946 in Winslow, ME. He was a mechanical inspector at Motorolla in Mansfield for over twenty five years, retiring in 2002. After retiring, he worked at Walmart in Walpole. An avid dog lover, his beloved pet Casey died earlier the same day.

Vern is survived by Jack Collins, his life long friend and companion. Beloved nephew of Glennis and Ralph Hall of Oakland, Maxine McManus of Brewer, George and Carmen Cole of Winslow, Maurice Vique of Fairfiled and Pearl Estes of Oakland. Devoted brother of Lloyd and Brenda York of Oakland. Loving uncle of Jessica and Tom Landberg of Dover Fox Croft, Steven York of Portland, Lloyd and LisaYork, Jr. of Oakland and Jewel York of Winslow.

Funeral Information

Friends and family are cordially invited to calling hours on Monday, June 4 from 5 to 8 pm at the Roberts Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro.
