Loving Father , Grandfather and Friend Frederick Patrick Gately, age 55, died Friday, January 4, 2008. Fred was the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Rogers) Gately.
Fred was born on May 13, 1952 in Boston. He was employed as a painter for the RRG Dry Wall & Painting Company. Fred was a member of the Heather Hill Golf League and the Silver City Bowling League in Taunton and The Jewelers League in N. Attleboro. He was an avid gardener who loved the outdoors and was a New England sports fan.
Loving father of Dennis Gately of Dartmouth, Brad and his wife Stefani Gately of Plainville, Valerie and her husband John Shea of Plainville and Christine Gately of Auburn. Former husband of Jill (Blackler) Modiste. Devoted grandfather of ten. Beloved brother of James Gately of FL, David Gately of Foxboro, Harry Gately of N. Attleboro, Michael Gately of Quincy and Barbara and her husband George Monaco of W. Bridgewater and the late Richard, Kenneth and Patricia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Information
Friends and family are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, January 9 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxboro.
