Mr. James R. Ellsworth Sr.February 25, 1932 - November 13, 2005
James R. Ellsworth Sr. age 73, died suddenly Sunday November 13, 2005 at his residence in Middleboro. He was formerly of Foxboro and Boston. Born in Boston on February 25, 1932. He was the son of the late Robert and Pauline (Jackson) Ellsworth. He graduated from Boston Trade School. Jim was a Marine Corp veteran of Korea. He served 32 Years on the Boston Police Department M.O.P.S. and retired in 1988 as Sergeant. Jim was Security Consultant for the N.F.L., the Boston Marathon and the 2004 Democratic Convention in Boston. He was a member of the Blue Knights and past president of the Board of Directors of Foxboro Cable Access, also he was a member of the Retired Boston Police Patrolmen’s Assoc. He was founder and president of the Security Consultants of New England. He married the late Lillian M. Donnelly on July 20, 1952. She died in 2003. He is father of Donna Rodman of Plainville, James and his wife Lynn of Marshfield, Kelly and her husband Bill Doherty of Randolph and the late Marc Richard Ellsworth. He is the Grandfather of Shane Rodman and Kaitlyn and Conner Ellsworth. Funeral InformationA funeral Mass will be held on Friday November 18 at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church Carpenter St. in Foxboro with Father Thomas J. Reilly, Boston Police Chaplain and Pastor of St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro as the celebrant. Interment to follow with Boston Police and military honors at Gethsemane Cemetery in West Roxbury.
