Hazel Marion Leary

March 13, 1912 - March 17, 2008

Devoted Mother and Grandmother

Hazel Marion (Lovely) Leary, age 96, died on Monday March 17, 2008 at the Ellis Nursing Center in Norwood. She was the daughter of the late Cleveland J. and Marie L. (Tetreault) Lovely.

Hazel was born on March 13, 1912 in Pawtucket, RI. She was raised in Mansfield and was a graduate of Mansfield High School, Class of 1920. She has been a Foxborough resident since 1966.

Hazel worked as a clerk for the Foxboro Company for over 15 years and was a member of the Foxboro Company 10 year Club. She was a devout communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed sewing and was an avid reader.

Hazel is survived by her son John W. Leary and his wife Arlene of Foxborough and her daughter Mary Lou Stege and her husband George of Clarence, NY. Devoted grandmother of Shannon (Leary) Leigh and her husband Daniel and Heather and Jennifer Stege.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Loris Welch and Evelyn Warsaw and one brother Cleveland Lovely.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral service at 10 AM on Thursday, March 20, at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., Foxborough. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield. Hazel’s family would like to express their heart-felt appreciation to the staff of the Ellis Nursing Center for the love and special care given to Hazel during her stay.
