Barbara Marie McCauley

August 15, 1933 - November 26, 2008

Barbara Marie (Rowan) McCauley died Wednesday, November 26 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late William and Rebecca (Hartin) Rowan.

Barbara was educated in the Boston Public Schools. Barbara and her husband Bob were married on June 23, 1956 at Holy Name Church in West Roxbury. She was employed as a staff administrator for John Hancock after raising her family. Barbara enjoyed reading, bowling and knitting and was a long time communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro.

Beloved wife of Robert P. McCauley of Foxboro. Devoted mother of Pamela A. McCauley of Foxboro, Patricia M. McCauley of Foxboro, Robin E. and her husband Randy McDonald of Franklin and Bethann and her husband Wayne Upham of Mansfield. Loving grandmother of Bobby, Katie and Mike Lee, Erin, Shaun and Adam Rull, Brendan, Colleen, Kerri and Shannon McDonald and Ashley and Joseph Upham. Sister of Robert L. Rowan and his wife Ann of Norwood and the late Kenneth Rowan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, November 30 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 1 at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Foxboro.
