Roberta Inez Rolls
September 11, 1930 - May 29, 2007
Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother Roberta Inez (Tripp) Rolls, age 76, died on Tuesday, May 29, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Lester and Viola (Wing) Tripp.
Roberta was born on September 11, 1930 in Foxboro and was a Foxboro High School Graduate Class of 1948. She and her husband Herbert where married on June 4, 1955 at the Mansfield Methodist Church.
She worked for many years as a community visiting nurse in Mansfield. She then worked as a nurse for the Madonna Manor in North Attleboro, the Sheldonville Nursing Home and for the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham.
Since childhood, Roberta was a member of the South Foxboro Union Church and was also a member of the Foxboro Art Assoc. She was a talented artist who specialized in seascape oil paintings.
Beloved wife of Herbert H. Rolls. Loving mother of Vallerie and her husband James Sasso of Wrentham, Mellissa Rolls of Franklin and Darren Rolls and his wife Doreen of Merrimack, NH. Devoted Grandmother of Danika, Rachel and Jason Harwood, Samantha King and Melinda and Lindsay Rolls. Sister of Richard Tripp of North Attleboro, Warren Tripp of Louisiana, Philip Tripp of Florida and the late Stanley Tripp.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday June 1, from 4-8 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South St., Foxboro. A funeral will be held on Saturday at 11 AM at the Union Church of South Foxboro, 384 South St., Foxboro.
