Louis S. Caiani
April 27, 1927 - November 28, 2008
Loving husband, father and grandfather Foxborough-Louis Salvatore Caiani, age 81 formerly of West Roxbury, died at his home on Friday, November 28, 2008 surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Luigi and Grazia (Del Rossi) Caiani.
Louis was born in Medford on April 27, 1927 and was a graduate of Medford Vocational School. He was a graduate of Fitchberg State College, Class of 1977. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He and his wife Rita were married at Holy Name Church in West Roxbury on June 30, 1951.
Louis was a Master Electrician and was a teacher at Blue Hills Regional Vocational Technical School in Canton. After retiring in 1991 he continued to teach night school at Blue Hills Regional. Louis loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. He was also a hockey enthusiast and at one time played in an amateur hockey league.
Beloved husband of Rita E. (Chichetto). Loving father of Rita M. Greeley of Foxborough and the late Brian F. Greeley, Nancy E. DeMaesschalck and her husband Mark of Foxborough, Jean M. Caiani and her husband Vincent Spaulding of CA and James L. Caiani of Dedham. Brother of Grace DiNisco of Medford. Devoted grandfather of Meghan, Catherine and Elizabeth Greeley, Celine and Michael DeMaesschalck and Nia Spaulding.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, December 1, 2008 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter St. in Foxborough. Interment to follow with U.S. Navy Honors at Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxborough.
