Elisa Schulsinger

Loving Mother and Grandmother Foxborough – Elisa (Longoria) Schulsinger, age 93, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the Village at Willow Crossings in Mansfield. She was the daughter of the late Francisco and Elisa (Gutierrez) Longoria.
Elisa was born on October 5, 1918 in Rio Grande City, TX. She was a graduate of Rio Grande High School and Texas A&I University. She and her husband Louis were married in Texas on March 12, 1944. She has been a Foxborough resident for the past 22 years and was a former long time resident of Danbury, CT.
Elisa was a retired children’s librarian for the Danbury Public Library in CT. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles. She loved to travel and loved animals. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She and her husband were known to their family as the happiest couple ever.
Beloved wife of forty eight years of the late Louis L. Schulsinger. Loving mother of Celia “Tickie” Bechtel and her husband, Joseph, of Foxborough and Henry Schulsinger of Waterbury, CT. Devoted grandmother of Robyn Bianchetto and her husband Pete of Franklin, Dena Seeto and her husband Phil of Ottawa, Canada, David Bechtel of Foxborough, Rachel Schulsinger of Maderia Beach, FL, Rebekah Schulsinger and Ruth Schulsinger, both of Waterbury, CT. Adoring great grandmother of Justin, Lia and Drew Bianchetto and Kiera Schulsinger, who were the loves of her life. Preceded in death by her sisters Noelia Cortez, Irma de la Vina and Yolanda Cortez.
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, January 15 from 1 to 4 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South street, Foxborough. A memorial service will be held immediately following calling hours at 4 pm at the funeral home. Elisa will be buried with her beloved husband at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
