Joseph T. Scialdone

Foxborough-Joseph Thomas Scialdone Sr., age 81, died at his home in Foxborough on Sunday, July 19, 2009 surrounded by the comfort of his loving sons. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Stewart and son of the late Thomaso and Marie Scialdone.

Joseph was born in Newton on July 2, 1928 and was educated in the Newton Public School system. He worked for many years for Sears and Roebuck in Allston as a mechanic and special repairman. In his spare time Joseph loved fixing machinery and appliances for his family. He also was an avid Red Sox fan and was in bowling leagues at North Bowl in North Attleboro and Norwood Sports Center.

Beloved father of Joseph and Edward Scialdone of Foxborough and Glenn and Lawrence Scialdone of Mansfield and the late Lynn Doiron. Loving brother of Rose Cole of California. Also survived by sixteen grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 27, 2009 from 7-9 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxboro. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at11 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery in Foxborough.
