Robert Edward McKenna

Beloved Husband and Father Foxborough-Robert Edward McKenna, age 83, died on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at his home surrounded by the comfort of his loving family.
Robert was born in Boston on July 3, 1925 and was educated in Boston Public Schools in Roslindale. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II in both North Africa and Italy. He and his wife Ruth where married in Reno, Nevada on May 4, 1947.
Robert worked for several years for the Watertown Arsenal as a truck driver. After the closing of the arsenal he worked as a locomotive engineer at the South Boston Naval Yard and then later for the Charlestown Navel Yard. Robert retired in 1975.
Robert was a sports fan who enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots as well as stockcar racing. He enjoyed watching Foxborough High School football, baseball and the school band on Foxborough Cable 8 programming.
Beloved husband of Ruth A. (Raymond) McKenna. Loving father of Richard E. and Raymond S McKenna of Foxborough. Son of the late Minnie (Metzer).
Funeral Information
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a graveside interment service beginng at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. in Foxborough at 11 AM, followed by a procession to St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxborough.
