James "Jeff" Roche

November 17, 1924 - December 05, 2008

Devoted Husband and Brother

Mansfield-James J. “Jeff” Roche, age 84, died on Friday, December 5, 2008 at the VA Medical Center in Brockton. He was the son of the late Joseph and Mimie (Hamlin) Roche.

Jeff was a native of Norfolk and a graduate of Walpole High School. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America and became an Eagle Scout before WWII. He was a combat veteran in WWII and was wounded in the battle of Guadal Canal. He and his wife Elizabeth were married in New York City in 1967. He has been a resident of Mansfield for the past 42 years.

Jeff was a graphic artist for the Foxboro Company for over 49 years. He retired in 1989.
He was a member of the Foxboro Company 10, 25 and 40 Year Clubs. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 208 in Millis.

Jeff enjoyed world travel with his wife and amateur photography. He was a man who could fix anything and especially enjoyed working on computers. He was devoted, husband, brother and friend.

Devoted husband of Elizabeth A. (Egner) Roche. Loving brother of Paul Roche of Norfolk and Stanley Roche of Gloucester. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
