Devoted Husband and Father

Thomas W. Johnson, age 53, of Foxboro died suddenly Friday, December 29. Tom was the son of Thomas A. Johnson of NC and the late Billie L. Ballard.

Tom was born on June 11, 1953 in Charlotte, NC. He was a graduate of Santana High School in CA. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam era from 1970 – 1974 and then served in the US Navy from 1975 – 1986. He married his wife Hillary C. (Thompson) Johnson on September 1, 2001 at the Centenary Methodist Church in Attleboro.

Tom was employed in customer service and management, most recently at Island Oasis in Walpole. Tom was an active volunteer in Foxboro Midget Football, Sun Area Umpire Association, Foxboro CYO Basketball and Foxboro Youth Softball.

Loving husband of Hillary C. Johnson of Foxboro. Beloved father of Joshua, currently serving in the U.S. Air Force in Okinawa, Stephanie, Allyson and Matthew, all of Foxboro. Brother of James of NC, Chris Bullig of NC, Suzanne Addis of KS, Joanne Byrd of NV, Diane Walker of SC and Joe Conley of NC.

Funeral Information

Family and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, January 3 from 5 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 4 at 10 am at Bethany Congregational Church, Rockhill Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow with military honors at the National Cemetery, Bourne, MA.
