Joanna Rose O'Connor
September 16, 1918 - March 14, 2006
Loving Mother and Grandmother Joanna Rose (Remondi) O’Connor, age 87, died on Tuesday March 14, at the Caritas Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was daughter of the late Benjamin P. and Cecilia E. (Piantoni) Remondi.
Joanna was born in Boston September 16, 1918 and was a resident of Mattapan for many years. She married her husband James at St. Angela’s Church in Mattapan on April 13, 1940. She has been a Foxborough resident for the past 33 years.
Joanna for many years was a communicant at St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough were she was a member of the Fatama Prayer Group. She loved to cook meals for her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother and great – grandmother.
Wife of the late James J. O’Connor. Loving mother of Michael and his wife Carol of Foxborough, James of Santa Monica, CA, Joanna Mayers of Attleboro, Patricia and her husband Paul Binegar of Norton and the late Joseph O’Connor. Sister of Cecelia O’Dea of Frankfurt, IL, Lucy Anderson of Attleboro, Valentina Grant of Anaheim, CA, Catherine Burdick of Winchester, and Lawrence and his wife Geraldine Remondi of South Easton. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Information
Relative and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Thursday March 16, from 2-4 & 7-9:00 pm at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South St. Foxborough. Funeral Friday at 9:30 am from the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter St., Foxborough.
