Miriam F. Beaver

Norfolk - Miriam F. (Drever) Beaver, age 86, a long time Norfolk resident, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Medway Country Manor in Medway. She was the daughter of the late James and Vera (Hawes) Drever.

Miriam was born on September 4, 1923 in Boston. She graduated from Dorchester High School, Class of 1940. She married her husband Reginald on November 28, 1942. Miriam was employed as a bookkeeper at Kendall Co. and retired from Foreign Motor Parts in April, 1982.

Miriam was a member of Order of Eastern Star in Norwood. She was an avid reader, painter and gardener. She enjoyed preparing meals for her family.

Loving mother of Karen Beneway of Natick, Bruce Beaver of Attleboro, Sheila Silverman of Natick, Glenn Beaver of Bellingham and Lauren Beaver of Norfolk. Devoted grandmother of four and great grandmother of two. Sister of the late Vera Austin.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, November 30 from 4 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 am at the Federated Church of Norfolk, 1 Union Street, Norfolk. Interment to follow at the National Cemetery in Bourne.
