Claire M. Amoling

February 27, 1913 - January 21, 2007

Claire Margaret (Fettig) Amoling, age 93, died Sunday, January 21 surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Brüst) Fettig.

Claire was born on February 27, 1913 in Roxbury. She was a graduate of Bryant & Stratton in Boston and was employed as a bookkeeper for Gable Distributors of Boston. Claire enjoyed chair caning, crewel, rug hooking, rose gardening and was an excellent cook. She spent many years taking care of people and will be remembered as a wonderful and devoted mother.

Beloved wife of the late Carl R. Amoling. Devoted mother of David G. Amoling of Mansfield, Richard C. and Sandra Amoling of Attleboro and Barbara L. Mordini of Walpole. Sister of J. Doris Bausch of Sharon, Lillian Christensen of Harwich and the late Emma Fettig, C. Elizabeth Diemer, Frances Byrnes and Margaret Claire Fettig. Also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, January 24 from 3 to 7 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 25 at 11 am at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 212 Main Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxboro.
