Helen R. Kelly, age 89, died on Thursday June 29, at the Epoch of Norton after a long illness. She was the daughter of the late John and Delia (Seery) Gallagher. Helen was born in Brighton on April 24, 1917 and has been a Foxboro resident for the past 52 years. She and her late husband, Andrew were married on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1942 at St. Columbkilles Church in Brighton. She was employed by the Foxboro State Hospital as a personal secretary to the director of nurses for 21 years. An avid traveler, she and her husband enjoyed trips to Japan, Alaska and the West Coast. An expert seamstress, she made bathrobes for everyone in the family and also bridal gowns for her daughter and one for her daughter in law. A fantastic cook, she was known for her mincemeat cookies and the best meatloaf in town. A devoted and active communicant of St. Mary’s parish in Foxboro. Wife of the late Andrew M. Kelly. Loving Mother of Teresa N. and her husband James O’Neill of Mansfield, John M. Kelly and his wife Beth of Glen Arm, MD, Paul A. Kelly of Ft. Myers and Maj. Charles W. Kelly and his wife LT. Col. Jean Kelly of Lynn Haven, FL. Also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral InformationRelatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday July 4, from 4 - 8:00 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St. Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday. July 5, at 9:00 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter St. Foxboro. Interment to Follow at St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro. Donations Information
