Joan May Arnold

Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother

Joan May Arnold, age 64, died Wednesday, July 25 at her home in Foxboro surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. Joan was the daughter of the late Joseph and May (Phillips) Danahay.

Joan was born on June 4, 1943 in Nuneation, UK. Joan married her husband John Arnold on June 29, 1963 in Chiswick, London, UK. Joan was a graduate of the Richmond Hospital Nursing Program in Middlesex, UK. Joan was a Foxboro resident for the past thirty two years and was a retired real estate agent from Coldwell Banker in Mansfield.

Joan was a member of the Westport Rascals Sailing Club, the Mansfield Rotary Club, the Greater Boston Real Estate Board and Tri Town Chamber. Joan was an avid sailor and enjoyed sailing from South Carolina to the Caribbean every year with her husband. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Joan is survived by her loving husband John Arnold. Beloved mother of Andrew and his wife Cindy Arnold of Mansfield and Robert and his wife Ellen Arnold of Foxboro. She was preceded in death be her daughter SarahLouise Arnold. Adoring grandmother of Samantha, Sarah-Louise and Andrew, all of Mansfield. She was the devoted sister of John Danahay of Poole in Dorset, England, Peter Danahay of Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, UK and Ann Meades of Greenford, London, UK. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Information

A funeral will be held on Monday, July 30 beginning at 8 am at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South street, Foxboro followed by a Funeral Mass 9 am at St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt Street, Mansfield.
