Link Crocker

Loving Mother and Grandmother

Wrentham - Marilyn “Link” (Thomas) Crocker, age 80 died unexpectedly at her home Monday, February 8, 2010. She was the wife of the late Bristol B. Crocker and the daughter of the late Chester R. and Irma G. (Sherman) Thomas.

Link was born on February 4, 1930 in Waltham, MA. She was a graduate of Sargent College (BU) with a major in physical education and did graduate work in child psychology and special education at Northeastern University. She was a teacher and athletic coach in Milford, NH and Reading, MA Public Schools. Former long-time Foxborough resident.

Link was a long-term trustee of the Pond Home including two terms as President responsible for construction of Pond Meadow. She was a Director of the Sentry Company in Foxborough. She was an active member of Bethany Congregational Church, including the Diaconate, church choir, directed the Children’s Choir, Chairperson responsible for the Church Fair, and Chairman of the Music Committee, responsible for securing a new organ. She was a member of the Kings Daughters & Sons, Director of Camp Wampatuck in Hanson, MA, and was a Girl Scout Leader. Link enjoyed all sports; over the years she played and coached basketball, enjoyed swimming, skiing, bowling league, and taught and played competitive tennis. She was a member of the Neponset Choral Society; was an American Nation Red Cross Water Safety Instructor; called square dancing; was a camp counselor at Camp Fleur de Lis in Fitzwilliam, NH and Camp Waziyatah in Harrison, ME.

Beloved mother of Robin Crocker of Center Conway, NH, Thomas P. Crocker of Foxborough, MA and Dawn Crocker Tucker of Brookline, NH. Loving grandmother of Christopher, Molly and Roger. Sister of the late Stanley E. and Roger S. Thomas.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Friday, February 12 from 4 to 8 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, February 13 at the Bethany Congregational Church, 3 Rock Hill Street, Foxborough. For additional information please contact 508 543-5471.
