Edward J. "Joe" Bagley

Edward Joseph Bagley age 82 a lifetime resident of Foxborough died at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Bernard L. and Mary J. (Smith) Bagley.

He was born in East Foxborough on April 11, 1923. He graduated from Foxborough High School.. He joined the U.S. Army Air Corps in October of 1942 with the 571st Bomb Squadron of the 390th Bomb Group and served in the campaigns of the Rineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He was discharged in October of 1945 with the rank of Technical Sargent. Joe was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Foxborough and was the superintendent of St. Mary’s Cemetery for many years. He was Custodian at the Robinson Hill School in Foxborough for 25 years as well as school bus driver.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday February 7 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home 30 South St. Foxborough.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday February 8, at 9 am at St. Mary’s Church Carpenter Street, Foxborough.. Burial will follow with Air Force honors at St. Mary’s Church in Foxboro. For additional informatin please contace us at 508-543-5471.
