Hazel R. Waseleski

June 22, 1913 - February 29, 2008

Hazel R. (Rowell) Waseleski, age 94, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Maples Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Wrentham. She was the daughter of the late Alton and Myra (Bowles) Rowell.

Hazel was born on June 22, 1913 in Norwood. She attended Norwood Public Schools. She worked as a printer at the Foxboro Company retiring in 1978. She married her husband Joseph Waseleski, Sr. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Norwood on April 22, 1933.

Hazel was a member of the Foxboro Company Ten Year Club. She loved to knit, was an avid reader, enjoyed watching television and spending time with her family.

Beloved mother of Joseph W., Jr. and his wife Sylvia of NC, James F. and his wife Evelyn of FL, John C. and his wife Elaine of Marion, Marilyn A. and her husband Hugh Snow of Halifax, Jerold V. and his wife Jeanie of FL and the late Ann L. Street. Loving sister of the late Richard Rowell and Ellen Griffin. Step sister Dorothy Johnson of Walpole, Barbara Britton of Franklin and the late Bob Mackie. Also survived by twenty seven grandchildren thirty five great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral Information

Friends and relatives are cordially invited to calling hours on Thursday, March 6 from 5 to 8 pm at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxboro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 am on Friday, March 7 at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
