Frances T. Godin

October 14, 1927 - March 19, 2010

Foxborough – Frances T. (Shurick) Godin, age 82, died Friday, March 19, 2010 at Caritas Norwood Hospital surrounded by the comfort of her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Frederick and Esther (Mountain) Shurick.

Frances was born on October 14, 1927 in Millville, MA. She graduated as Valedictorian of the Class of 1945 from Blackstone High School. She was the loving wife of Romeo “Ray” Godin for 61 years. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole. Former resident of Hyde Park and Falmouth.

Frances was a devout Catholic and an avid Red Sox and Paw Sox fan. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Loving wife of Romeo “Ray” Godin of Foxborough. Adored mother of Linda and her husband Richard D’Intinosanto of Bellingham, Beverly and her husband Edmund Rautenberg of Mansfield, Ann Godin of Norwood, Ellen and her husband Tom Burke of Foxborough and Raymond and his wife Theresa Godin of Canton. Loving Nana of nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Beloved sister of Eleanor Ranieri and Kathy Craven of Bellingham.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 8 pm on Tuesday, March 23 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 24 at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter Street, Foxborough. Interment to follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
