Edgar W. Laundry

January 19, 1924 - June 11, 2008

Edgar Wallace Laundry, age 84, died on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at his home in Foxborough surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late Wallace and Helen (Barnes) Landry.

Edgar was born in Franklin on January 19, 1924 and was a graduate of Franklin High School Class of 1942. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He and his wife Marjorie where married on November 9, 1978 in Foxborough.

Edgar worked for over 30 years at the Foxboro Company and retired as an expeditor in 1985. He was a member of both the Foxboro Company’s 10 and 25 year clubs. He enjoyed spending his winters with his wife in Lake Worth, FL and was an avid Bocci player. He loved sports and was an avid New England Patriots fan. Edgar was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Beloved husband of Marjorie G. (Gennett) Laundry. Loving father of Alan Landry and his wife Ceil of Springfield, MA, Carole Siipola of Milford, Kimberly Bradshaw of Franklin, Barbara and her husband Rick Evans of Foxborough, Gayle Abrams of Rehoboth and John Henn and his wife Donna of FL. Brother of Ronald Barnes, Norma Lola, Nancy Connelly, Linda Mullaney and Mae Barnes. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Funeral Information

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Monday, June 16, 2008 from 4-8 PM at the Roberts & Sons Funeral Home 30 South St. Foxborough. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Mary’s Church, Carpenter St. Foxboro. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Foxborough.
