Alfred W. Rotherham

Foxboro-Alfred W. Rotherham, age 80, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital. He was the son of the late Alfred and Katherine (Folsom) Rotherham.

Alfred was born in Boston on July 3, 1927 and was educated in Boston and Mansfield Public Schools. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

He worked as a welder for the Allis Chalmers Company of Hyde Park for 20 years and was a custodian for the Foxborough High School until his retirement. He has been a Foxborough resident for the past 58 years.

Beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Briggs) Rotherham. Beloved father of Jay M. Rotherham and his companion Suzanne Earls of Attleboro and Joy Auld and her companion John Visalli of Foxborough. Devoted grandfather of John Jay Auld and his wife Julie of Whitman and Michael Patrick Auld of Foxborough. Great grandfather of Christopher and Michael Auld.
